Waterford have booked their place in the 2026 FAI Cup Final against Derry City, with the showpiece set for the Aviva Stadium on Sunday 8th November. The final kicks off at 3pm, with the Blues designated as the away side and their supporters allocated the South Stand.
Ticket sales for Waterford fans begin at 12pm today via Ticketmaster. Supporters can purchase seats in Blocks 112 to 117 on the lower level and Blocks 314 to 320 on the premium level of the South Stand. Additional tickets are available in Blocks 119 to 122 in the West Stand. There is a limit of 20 tickets per transaction, and all prices exclude booking fees.
Accessible tickets for wheelchair users will be available through a dedicated link on the club's website once provided by the FAI. A separate link will also be shared for schools and clubs looking to organise group bookings.
The final comes as Waterford build momentum, sitting 8th in the Premier Division on 40 points from a record of nine wins, thirteen draws, and thirteen losses. They have scored 51 goals this season but conceded 59, leaving them with a goal difference of minus eight. Their recent form shows three wins from their last five matches, a sequence that reads three wins and two defeats. This includes a 3-1 victory over Drogheda United last Friday where Padraig Amond scored, and a 3-2 win over Galway United the previous Monday where Amond netted twice. Tom Lonergan, the club's top scorer with nine goals this season, provided an assist in the Drogheda win and scored the winner against Galway. The team is currently on a two-game winning run.
Attention now turns to the league, with a trip to face fourth-placed Shelbourne this Friday 30th October. In the broader title race, Waterford find themselves 28 points behind leaders Shamrock Rovers.
